Skagit County Tulip Festival this Weekend: April 1st & 2nd

It’s that time of year again! Time for Spring showers to make way for Spring flowers. This weekend kicks off the Skagit County Tulip Festival, which celebrates the millions of Pacific Northwest tulips bloom! While the tulips themselves adhere to their own schedule (as dictated by Mother Nature), it looks like some of the flowers are already in bloom. Keep up-to-date here!

The Skagit Tulip Festival officially started in 1984, and was pioneered by the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. They recognized that thousands were visiting the area to view the beautiful tulips, and decided to add events and interactivity to further engage and enhance the visitors’ trip to the area. From there, the Tulip Festival blossomed into its own entity, separate from the Chamber of Commerce,  grew from 3 day to 10 days, and all the way up to 30 days of tulip-ing!

This the 34-year anniversary edition of the the Tulip Festival is destined to be a great one! You can check them out on Facebook here! Dozens of events and attractions joined the festival to engage you – the audience. This list of attractions goes over many of the festival partners. Tulip town is an awesome display of both tulips and family-fun activities! Engage with trolley rides, a massive indoor display of tulip bouquets, a 110′ mural of natural Skagit Valley scenes, and many acres of blooming tulips! But this isn’t the only fun event – check out this list for more!
