It’s around that time of year again!
The Washington State Fair is open and ready for enjoyment! Fast rides, indulgent foods, and an enticing atmosphere combine creating a fabulous, family-friendly experience. This Puyallup tradition surprises us annually for this fun (and, of course, in Spring for the Spring Fair.)
Speed and whirl through the air on fair-rides or check out Silly Village or their Antique Carousel. From adventures to stories, the Washington State Fair has variety galore with their rides. Their Midway section has a diverse list of rides, including the Matterhorn, Orbiter, the Tornado, and the Classic Coaster. Their entire list compiles all their rides and height requirements, so make sure to check it out!
Hundreds of farm animals can be found in the barns, comprising goats, pigs (and piglets), sheep, llamas, cows, horses, chickens, and many other animals. Check out the fair on the 7th, 14th, or 21st and watch Police K-9 demonstrations and meet and animals that help keep everyone safe.
Free is fun and there are tons of free-with-admission entertainment. The Education Stage, Doo-Wah Riders, John Dunnigan, and other free entertainment can be found here.
You can even skip the dreaded line or find other military, corporate, or general discounts for your family. You can peek through all the discounts on their Deals & Discounts page.
And if Puyallup is too far travel, Seattle has some fabulous events throughout the weekend, including a bowling event in West Seattle, an Italian street fair in the Georgetown of South Seattle, and the lighthouse festival in Mukilteo.
