8 Of Everett’s Favorite Restaurants

Like many cities in the area, Everett has some great and local eateries for your enjoyment. While Seattle is brimming with new food experiences, it might be nice to venture out of the city to Everett… another major city to Seattle’s north.

Everett has always been a major city in the region, both because of its proximity to Seattle and the McCord Air Force and because of the major employment players that call the city home, like Boeing, the Naval Station, and Providence Medical Center. Though it hasn’t grown as massively its surrounding larger cities, like Seattle, Bellevue, or Tacoma, the area has undergone massive development since the 1990s.

But, like Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma, proprietors are shying away from opening their business within its borders. Restaurants are a massive component of culture and Everett has not small dosage of that. These are some of Everett’s favorite restaurants.

The New Mexicans restaurant offers a mix of American and Spanish/Mexican cuisine, that doesn’t shy from mixing biscuits and gravy with carne asada burritos. Made fresh daily, and free of preservatives, they use family recipes passed down through the generations. Their personal experiences flourish in their business, because they take care for tradition and making every moment a memory.

Located near Hewitt Avenue, the Kama’aina Grindz specializes in Asian-fusion and Hawaiian foods. A Bento-centric menu, they offer delights like Island Style “Pho”, Miso Ramen, Ahi Poke Bowl, and Mini Spam Musubi. With a menu that ranges from salads to burgers, ramen and seared tofu, you’ll enjoy their inspirational and diverse flavors.

If you’re craving Italian, the Chanti Italian restaurant in Everett serves delicious Neapolitan pizza, alongside their pasta, small plates, protein arrangements, and desserts.  This locally owned establishment is rooted by its sister-restaurant in Kirkland, Washington named Vista Lago; as the family’s second restaurant, the family strives to offer recipes handed from generation to generation from their ancestors.

A bustling pizzeria, Brooklyn Bros. Pizzeria brings classic styles like Neapolitan and Sicilian pizzas to the forefront of delicious. Starting with fresh, whole-milk mozzarella cheese imported-from-Italy tomatoes, and handmade sausages, they garner intense flavor to top their hand-tossed pizzas. Their classic “New York” style pies come in a variety of signature styles – but don’t worry, you can add all the extras you want!

One thing not new to the area, but much enjoyed, is diner food. That classic aroma of eggs and fried-up hash-browns can make even the most unpleasant of morning remarkable – however little bit the opposite of the “healthful” foods we’ve been seeing pop up in the area. If you’re looking for classic, home-style, diner foods, look no further, for Everett’s got a bunch, including the Strawberry Patch CaféWendy’s County Café, the Colby Diner, and Buck’s American Café.
