Mercer Island School District Gets Top Ranking on Recent Survey

The Mercer Island School District has long been known for its high emphasis on academics and extra-curriculars, and 2017-2018 reports show Mercer Island reigning over other Washington School Districts. Noted as a “friendly environment,” the district (MISD) strives to foster children and young adults by converting information into knowledge.

In a recent survey of over 9,500 schools, performed by awards the Mercer Island School District as Washington’s best public-school system. Mercer Island yields a 96.6% graduation rate, which is 15+% higher than the state-wide average of 81.9%.

Other top-producing schools include (2) the Lake Washington School District, (3) the Snoqualmie Valley School District, (4) the Bellevue School District, and (5) the Camas School District.
