Annual Northwest Seaport Classic Workboat Show at Seattle’s Lake Union Park

Come spend Memorial Day weekend at Lake Union Park for the annual Northwest Seaport Classic Workboat Show! Known as the museum of the region’s workboats, Northwest Seaport will feature tugboats, fishing boats, and emergency response vessels for attendees to step aboard and experience. You will have the opportunity to chat with captains and tour the engine rooms.

Northwest Seaport is a non-profit organization which focuses on the preservation and understanding of Puget Sound and the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1964, the Seaport is now one of the oldest maritime heritage organization in the United States. A few of the boats moored at the Seattle Lake Union Park include the tugboat Arthur Foss, the world’s oldest wooden tugboat and the Lightship No. 83, dated 1904. Both vessels have National Historic Landmark status with great significance to our local region. The interactive museum offers public tours, family & children’s programming, occupational training, workshops, event rentals, music programs, annual festivals and so much more. They even offer a Tugboat Overnight Experience program!

The Classic Workboat Show will run May 26th and May 27th, beginning at 10:00 AM. There will be a fishing boat serving fish tacos and a nearby floating beer garden. Round up the family and hear to the Classic Workboat Show this weekend!
