Blake Island Marine Park showcases the Northwestern Coast’s Indian arts, culture and food. While it was once used as a camping ground by the Suquamish tribe, the area is how a hotspot, touristy attraction.

Sprawled across 1,127-acres, the island park offers five miles of shoreline “providing unobstructed views of the Olympic Mountains and the Seattle skyline.”

Barely reachable…

Being an island, Blake Island Marine State Park is only available via boat, whether tour or private. The northwest side features a small marine with mooring buoys though spots and spaces are limited.

So near Seattle, Blake Island is an ideal way to spend a day out of the city without driving your car. Disembark from the Seattle Waterfront, which is accessible via rideshare, light rail, or metro, and return at the same marina later in the day chock-full of experiences and fare.

With over one-thousand acres, Blake Island offers countless hiking and mountain biking opportunities, a sports field, and fishing and shellfish harvesting.
