Run the Mountain 2019

You are invited to Run the Mountain, this weekend and help raise funds for youth in foster care, giving them the proper resources and supplies to have a positive experience in school.

Youth in foster care face mountains each and every day. Statistics show that only half of youth in foster care graduate high school, and continue to face challenges after leaving the system. NuHope Street, along with its beneficiary, Treehouse for Kids, focuses on changing that statistic. The funds raised from this annual event will go towards providing necessities including clothes, school supplies, funding for after-school activities, athletic fees, art and music programs, summer camp, tutoring and more.

This run will allow you to spend the morning on a beautiful trail through Squak Mountain State Park in Issaquah. The highest point of this mountain rests at 2,024 feet and offers view of the surrounding Cascade foothills, the Issaqauh Plateau, and Seattle. For $55, you can choose to register for the 5K, 10K, or 25K route. The run will take place on Saturday, September 14th from 8:00am-2:00pm. After the run, enjoy wood-fired pizza, beer and soft drinks. If you are unable to make the event but would like to make a donation, you are welcome to make a donation online today.
